Varnville Elementary School

Welcome to Varnville Elementary School.

We are excited about our 2012-2013 school year. We welcome you to come visit us in the Bear Cub Cave anytime. Our motto is "We do our best at VES. Read and Succeed!"

VES is a Positive Behavior Interventions and Support "Ribbon" School. Our students are doing an excellent job of following the CUBS expectations.

We are proud of the "A" our school has earned using the South Carolina Department of Education grading scale!

What a great job it is to be a principal! I am starting my 17th year as an administrator and my 9th year as the principal of Varnville Elementary School. It is a such a pleasure and so rewarding to work with children every day. I knew when I was in third grade this was my life calling...to teach.

I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1978 with a BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I received a Masters Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education in 1983 and a Masters in Administration and Supervision in 1993.

I reside in Hampton County near Lake Warren and enjoy swimming and fishing. I enjoy working with the fantastic faculty/staff at Varnville Elementary to make VES the BEST!
