Hampton Elementary Uniform Policy

 

Bottoms must be khaki or black pants, skirts, shorts, or jumpers (skirts and shorts must be no higher than 2 inches above the knee). No jeans or cargo pants are allowed.

Tops (including sweatshirts, vests, and sweaters) must be white, red, or hunter green with a collar and sleeves.

Shirt tails must be tucked in for boys and girls, except that the principal or designated staff may approve the wearing of straight blouses extending not more than 3 inches below the waistline.

No emblems other than the school logo are allowed on uniforms, coats, or jackets.

Jackets or coats with hoods or that do not meet the policy will not be allowed to be worn inside the building. Students will be allowed to wear those jackets or coats during recess or when outside the building. All jackets or coats must be unzipped or open while inside the building.

Pants may not fall below the waist. Belts are not necessary if pants do not fall below the waist.

Under shirts, stockings, socks, and tights must be white, red, or green. Both socks must be the same color. No emblems or designs will be allowed on these items.

Hats may not be worn inside the building.

No flip flops, shower shoes, bedroom slippers, sandals, crocs, or slide-on shoes may be worn. Shoes must enclose the foot (Examples: sneakers, docksides, boots, and loafers).

Items and accessories (belts, jewelry, etc…) that detract from the school uniform or the learning environment will not be allowed.
