NDMS is the place to be if you want to be in the “here and now”. Our goal is to provide our students with the best education possible by providing them with challenging, educational experiences that are based on data-driven curriculum. NDMS theme is, “Partnering with Parents, Preparing Students for A Promising Future”. We truly believe that a healthy, school-home working relationship fosters academic and social growth.
There are a lot of positive things taking place at NDMS. NDMS has team-oriented academic programs. This allows four core teachers time to work together with the team of students and parents to reach each student’s potential. Our staff is dedicated to empowering all students to be successful in a global economy. The secret is out: the best educators in the universe are housed at NDMS, Hampton District One, Varnville, South Carolina. Also, we have five National Board Certified Teachers on staff.
We offer three courses for high school credit for students meeting the requirements. This year two of our students qualified for the TIP (Talent Identification Program) based on their SAT scores from seventh grade and we had nine Junior Scholars this year. We offer our students the opportunity to participate in school-sponsored clubs and community activities such as Relay For Life. NDMS had another successful year in extracurricular activities. Our volleyball team and both our girls and boys basketball team had some very impressive win/lost stats. Our other teams made a fair showing overall. Approximately, 47% of our athletes made the academic honor roll with a 90 or above average.
